Since I don't really have anything else to do with my free time, I've decided to start up a Claw fansite of my own. Even though the game isn't as popular as it once was (or was it ever popular?) and the Claw community is hopelessly small, Claw has entertained me in a way no game ever has since, and it's been what they call a labour of love doing this page. I'll update it as frequently as possible, it's incomplete as of now.

A few levels that I've made can be downloaded here. Future ones will be uploaded here as they get made. You need WinZip or some other archive extraction program to download these. Extract them to the CUSTOM folder of your main Claw directory, run the game, and you can play them from the Custom Level menu.

Name Level Date Description
Stenchburg 6 21/4/05 A big level with a lot of treasure. It has a bug that I didn't realise until halfway through designing it, the goo coverups have been given a Z value of 9999 which causes them to actually display in front of the front layer, including the score and Claw's health/ammo/lives. Otherwise enjoyable
Remora Bay 7 28/3/05 A lot easier than Citadel, but is more advanced in many areas. It even has a boss fight at the end (sorta...)
Citadel 14 18/3/05 Citadel contains over four thousand objects and took three weeks to make. It's a bit light on secret areas, but should provide a good challenge.
Inner Sanctum 2 4/3/2005 An extremely tough action level where there is no treasure at all, your only goal is to reach the end in one piece. It's rough around the edges and has a number of issues I couldn't fully erase, but it gave me a lot of practice with the editor. I tried to make it as brutishly hard as possible, so don't blame me. ;)
Shotgun 5 18/1/05 One of my first levels for Claw, and the only one that's any fun to play. I originally made this to test out some logics, but then I decided to continue with a full-blown level. Shotgun is a little bit on the short side, but has a few interesting puzzles and tricks.

CLaw Level Editor 770KB The Claw Editor complete with a readme and help file.
Claw Design Document 261KB Basically a Claw master guide that provides help with every aspect of the game. Was written for a pre-release version of the game and is out of date, but well worth the look.

Rich's Walkthroughs 81KB Walkthroughs in text format for each of the game's 14 levels, written by Rich Kleinhenz and given to me by Teo phil. I converted them from HTML to text to minimise download time.
Claw Wallpaper Art 800KB Background images for your desktop.

These are some Claw fansites, sadly only a tiny percentage of the number that once was. If I've missed one (I probably have), drop me a line at bensheffield@ourimbah.com.

Captain Claw Homepage -- Uh...it's the official site.

Captain Claw's Lair -- DzjeeAr's site, which contains probably the most extensive collection of Claw levels on the 'net.

Edd Brown's Captain Claw Site -- Somewhat hard to navigate, but contains masses of game-related info and some levels that aren't even available on DzjeeAr's site. And (amazingly for a Geocities site) it has a counter that still works.

Freya's Page For Captain Claw -- A site made by one of Claw's younger fans. For the record, Freya's mother used to be an active member of the Claw community in years gone by. But be warned, staring at that toxic pink background colour for long enough can be hazardous for your health. :)

Claw Junior's Page -- An attractive site that contains lots of game info and links to external sources.

RedTail's Lair -- Rather contentless, contains cheats, some links, and a poll.

Claw's Cave -- A Polish fansite for the game, with a forum that's still being read and posted to.
